Overmantels was founded twenty one years ago. They pride themselves in the creation of hand-crafted mirrors, made in their own joinery and gilding workshops. They also design exceptional pieces such as gorgeous Eglomise mirrors (Verre Eglomise, from the French term meaning glass gilded. It is a process where the backside of glass is gilded in gold or silver leaf to create a mirror-like, reflective finish). They have an excellent team of craftsmen who make the frames. Along with knowledgeable staff in the showroom, they can create mirrors to suit all tastes and sizes, via their unique bespoke service. Overmantels, is recognised by conservationists for their authenticity and have supplied many important sites, including leading hotels and many other commercial and private houses.
Testimonial - Bespoke Regency mirror
Mrs Tomlinson ordered a bespoke size Rectangular Regency style overmantel mirror - catalogue No 25 - and had it delivered to Kendal in Cumbria.

Testamonial: Archtop overmantel mirror
Mr Smith bought an archtop overmantel mirror to go over his fireplace. He chose the ball and Cross decoration and had the mirror height adjusted to fit exactly 2” beneath the picture rail.

We were asked to make our new No. 51 ‘Sofa Mirror’ to specific measurements and they wanted the ornate crest on the top and for the frame to be finished in Dutch Gold Leaf.
This is just another example of how we at Overmantels, can create from our traditional ranges, a customised mirror to fulfil customers requirements.
