Overmantels - The Mirror Specialists Collage of mirrors

This is our new contemporary mirror. As a standard frame it is called the ‘AD3 panel mirror’ It is a very versatile frame; the customer is able to pick the number and proportions of the frame should they wish. As standard it comes with a lovely foxed antique-effect glass. This is very subtle, in contrast to a great many ‘antiqued’ glass effects. The edges of the panels have a very small, polished bevel, to give the mirror a sharper, more finished look.

This is a No7 Archtop Mirror, with the Feet rounded off, and Finials removed. It was finished in our ‘Ebony Black’ Finish to compliment the other black fittings in the room, and to contrast the Georgian green colour.

This is an extra wide No9 frame. It was made to fit over the columns of the fireplace. A standard size would have been too narrow, and this was a much better fit.

AD2 ‘Ziggurat Mirror’. We made this slightly smaller version for a client of ours, who wanted the cleans lines of the frame to compliment her modernist home. It is pictured in the Standard Gilt Finish. We have photos of other simialar frames if you follow the link below:

Overmantels was founded twenty one years ago. They pride themselves in the creation of hand-crafted mirrors, made in their own joinery and gilding workshops. They also design exceptional pieces such as gorgeous Eglomise mirrors (Verre Eglomise, from the French term meaning glass gilded. It is a process where the backside of glass is gilded in gold or silver leaf to create a mirror-like, reflective finish). They have an excellent team of craftsmen who make the frames. Along with knowledgeable staff in the showroom, they can create mirrors to suit all tastes and sizes, via their unique bespoke service. Overmantels, is recognised by conservationists for their authenticity and have supplied many important sites, including leading hotels and many other commercial and private houses.
